I have my NCID – what else do I have to do to get into the GIC?
You must request and be granted access to the GIC application.  In order to request access go to the GIC page and:

  • Enter in your NCID (yes, it normal for @ncid to appear at the end of your user ID)
You must click on “Request Access” to gain access to the portal BEFORE you can log in
  • This should take you to the NCID page
  • Click on “Continue”
  • This should take you to a form to complete
  • After completing the form, click on “Submit”
  • This will submit a request to the GIC administrator
  • We will then approve your access and send an email back to you (This may take a day or two)
  • After receiving the email, go back to the portal page and you should then be able to log in and access the portal

I’ve gotten into the GIC but my data is not right – what should I do?
On the bottom of each page is a link to contact the GIC Administrator.  This link will send an email to the OSA staff.  In that email, enter as much detail as you can to describe the problem, including listing the grants you have, the agency name, and the amount your records show you received for each.  An OSA staff member will review the problem, and contact you in order to resolve the problem.

Remember, to access the GIC, you WILL need to have your NCID identity set up.  If you have questions on how to do this, please contact Cheryl_Baggett-Pounds@ncauditor.net , or 919-807-7659.
