N.C. Council for Women Board Members


The North Carolina Council for Women consists of 20 appointed members. All appointments are made by the Governor and the length of the terms is two years. The purpose of the Council is to advise the Governor, the principal State departments, and the State legislature concerning the education and employment of women in the State of North Carolina; to advise the Secretary of Administration upon any matters the Secretary may refer to it and to establish programs for the assistance of displaced homemakers.
